Physical Therapist Owned and Operate

Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is owned by husband and wife team, Janie and Vincent Schneider. Janie Fitzgerald Schneider grew up in Richmond and attended St. Catherine’s School. She graduated from University of Virginia with Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and from Lynchburg College with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Janie developed a strong passion for orthopedic manual physical therapy while at Lynchburg. Janie accepted an offer to work at Center for Physical Therapy after graduation. 

Vinny is from Alliance, Ohio. He graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and from Lynchburg College with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Vinny began his career in Blacksburg, Virginia and moved to Richmond in 2017. 

Vinny and Janie met in Lynchburg and both developed a passion for helping the community with their orthopedic concerns. They both believe in helping each patient as if they are their own family. 

Vinny and Janie became owners of Center for Physical Therapy after the founder, Tourage Rafeei, retired in 2022. Tourage Rafeei established Center for Physical Therapy over 20 years ago.
